PFF Launches Online Player Registration System

The PFF has launched its Online PFF Player Registration System. The contract signing was held at the EDSA Shangri-la hotel in Pasig on 14 October 2016. PFF President Mariano Araneta and General Secretary Edwin Gastanes signed the contract with MMC Sportz Marketing LLC CEO Eric Gottschalk and RSportz Inc. CEO Robin Kent.

The registration system will create a database of players in the Philippines. The initiative is in line with FIFA’s mandate to register players so they are eligible to join PFF organized and sanctioned football activities. Players who are twelve years old and above will be required to register through proper guidance of their parents or guardians.

The registration process is done online. Once application and payment has been completed, the system will provide each player with individualized profiles, a unique and lifetime membership card, access to personal player statistics in PFF sanctioned events, and access to online registration for PFF sanctioned events/tournaments.

“The registration system is another step forward for Philippine football as we continue to professionalize the organization of the sport”. Said PFF General Secretary Edwin Gastanes in the open forum.

The initiative is among the first in South East Asia. This will be beneficial not only to the players who can track their footballing career online, among other features, but also for the tournament organizers who will have access to these player data.

Player registration will start on November 2016.
