Philippine Under-22 Up Against Japanese Sides in Training Camp

The Philippine Under-22 squad is set to face three Japanese teams in a series of AFC Tier 2 International Friendly matches.

The Under-22 side traveled to Japan last Thursday, 6 July 2017 for a training camp in preparation for the AFC U23 Championship China 2018 Qualifiers and the 29th Southeast Asian Games. The camp was arranged by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) with the help of the Japan Football Association (JFA).

The Under-22 team is set to face Tokai University on Saturday, 8 July 2017. Tokai University is a team that plays in Division 2 of the Japan University Football Association (JUFA) Kanto League.

Their next opponent will be the JFA Fukushima Academy team on Tuesday, 11 July 2017. JFA Fukushima Academy is one of the distinguished football academies managed by the JFA.

Their last opponent will be against Ryutsu Keizai University on Thursday, 13 July 2017. Ryutsu Keizai University is a team that plays in the First Division of the Kanto Soccer League.

All three matches have been approved by the Asian Football Confederation and will be played at Tokino Sumika, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
