Philippine Under-22 Squad for AFC U23 Championship

The Philippine Under-22 squad will compete in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-23 Championship 2018 Qualifiers which will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 19-23 July 2017.

The following 23 players have been selected to form the final roster under Head Coach Marlon Maro. The team left for Cambodia last Monday 17 July.

The Philippines are in Group J along with Japan, China PR, and Cambodia.

In preparation for the tournament, the Philippine U-22 team held regular trainings at the Rizal Memorial Stadium and flew to Japan last 6 July for a training camp where they had friendly matches against Tokai University (PHI 1-3), JFA Fukushima Academy, (PHI 0-1), and Ryutsu Keizai University, (PHI 0-3).

The AFC Under-23 Championship 2018 will serve as the team’s preparation for the 29th Southeast Asian Games which begins next month.
