PFF Club Licensing Issues Decisions on Mendiola FC and Philippine Air Force FC Applications

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Club Licensing First Instance Body (FIB) has passed upon the club license application of Mendiola Football Club and the new application of Philippine Air Force FC to participate in PFF club competitions for Season 2019.

Mendiola FC’s application was initially denied by the FIB but, on appeal, was remanded by the Appeals Body to the FIB for further evaluation.

After a review of documents earlier submitted and those additionally given by the club, the First Instance Body granted a PFF License (provisional) to Mendiola FC for the 2019 season.

Philippine Air Force FC’s application was initially denied both by the FIB and the Appeals Body due to, among others, it being an unincorporated legal entity. The club submitted a new application after securing incorporation certificate from the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). Upon evaluation of the club’s application and the additional documents submitted, including proof of it being a legal entity, the FIB granted the club a PFF License (provisional) for PFF club competitions in 2019.

The two applicants have been notified of the decision.

The PFF licensed clubs that may now join the Philippines Football League are: Ceres Negros FC, Kaya FC Iloilo, Stallion Laguna FC, Global Cebu FC, Green Archers United FC, Mendiola FC, and Philippine Air Force FC.

The PFL has set a meeting with the clubs this Friday, 17 May 2019, preparatory for the kick off of the league on 25 May 2019.
