GAB Conducts Inspection of PFF National Training Center

To ensure that the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite complies with the training protocols set in the Joint Administrative Order (JAO), officials from the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) conducted a venue inspection of the training center last Saturday, 05 September 2020.

The inspection was done to ensure that the proper health and safety protocols are properly observed during the PFL clubs’ training sessions. Currently, only two PFL clubs have begun their training sessions, Stallion Laguna FC and Kaya FC-Iloilo.

The training center, which was inaugurated in 2017, has four available pitches for clubs to utilize during their training sessions: the main pitch (105m x 68m) which is split into two fields, and two mini pitches (20m x 40m). All the pitches allow a maximum of five (5) players to conduct training at each time and must practice social distancing at all times.

“We are thankful to the Games and Amusements Board for their intensive guidance to make sure the right protocols are in place and properly executed during the training sessions,” said PFL Commissioner Torre. “We all understand that this is a learning process for all and we will continue to adjust accordingly as we progress.”

“Our commitment to the Games and Amusements Board led by Chairman Abraham Mitra remains firm,” added PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes. “We thank their continuous guidance in helping ensure professional football and other professional sports make their return in the country despite the pandemic”
