Futsal Fun Day in Pasig City Launches DIWA™ and Inspires Grassroots Sports Ahead of FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025™

“Today’s Futsal Fun Day is a great start. Bringing the community together to play and enjoy the game is what grassroots sports are all about. The introduction of our mascot, DIWA, symbolizes the spirit of the game that we want to share with everyone. We are excited for the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 and we want to make sure its impact is felt long after the tournament,” said PFF President John Gutierrez.

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) and Local Organizing Committee, in partnership with the Philippine Sports Commission and the Pasig City Government, officially kicked off its grassroots engagement program for the upcoming FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup Philippines 2025™ with the vibrant celebration of Futsal Fun Day at San Joaquin Elementary School, Pasig City.

Carrying the slogan “Ang DIWA™ ng Laro” (The Spirit of the Game), the event gathered children, families, coaches, and community leaders for a full day of futsal-themed activities. The program featured a skills clinic focusing on dribbling and ball control, passing, receiving, and shooting; and mini futsal matches that allowed young participants to showcase their newly learned abilities designed to keep the energy high and the spirit of teamwork alive.
