Group E will be a huge test for PMNFT U17, as they will face three champion squads in the group.

Australia is the reigning three-time ASEAN U17 champion, winning against Thailand via penalties in last year’s final. The Young Socceroos have also won three bronze medals in the U17 Asian Cup and were runners-up of the 1999 U17 World Cup.

Iraq is the 2016 champion of U17 Asian Cup on top of three gold medals in West Asian regional meets. The Young Mesopotanian Lions have also participated in two U17 World Cup finals.

While lacking World Cup experience, Jordan is also of championship calibre, having won the West Asian Football Federation U17 Championship in 2022.

Bhutan is the least decorated in the group, with a semis appearance in the 2017 South Asian Football Federation U15 Championship as its biggest achievement.

The Philippines nearly made the 2025 U17 Asian Cup final tournament, placing second in the qualifying group for the first time in team history, with wins against Macau and Cambodia in October 2024.
