PASIG CITY — Matchday 2 of the PFF Futsaliga delivered high-octane action across both the men’s and women’s divisions on Sunday, March 1, at the Philsports Arena, as debuting clubs, collegiate standouts, and national team veterans lit up the hardcourt in the country’s newest domestic futsal league.
The day was headlined by Tondo FC’s 14-goal eruption, a commanding performance from the Stephan Schrock–led Azkals Development Club, and a composed, clinical debut from the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws.
WOMEN’S DIVISION
Beach Hut 5, Philippine Women’s University (PWU) 1
Beach Hut showed depth and fluidity, scoring five goals from five different players, with former national team standout Lyka Teves earning Player of the Match. PWU stayed competitive early thanks to Allyxa Lucero, who cut the deficit to 1–2 entering halftime, but Beach Hut dominated the second period with three unanswered goals.
Enderun Colleges 6, University of Makati (UMak) 1
Enderun finished strong behind the leadership of Jonalyn Lucban, who demonstrated superb ball control and tempo-setting to secure Player of the Match honors.
Azzurri SC 8, Forza FC 2
Azzurri SC closed out the match with a late scoring surge for an 8–2 victory over a seasoned Forza FC squad. Bianca Ellaine Sy led the offensive charge in a decisive performance.

Far Eastern University (FEU) 6, Azkals Development Club (ADC) 1
The FEU Lady Tamaraws, reigning UAAP four-peat football champions, impressed in their futsal debut, overwhelming an ADC side anchored by Filipina5 member Shai del Campo. FEU’s Lenlen Cristobal netted a brace, while Regine Rebosura, Sarahgen Tulabing, and other youthful standouts proved too quick in transition.
ADC managed to equalize via Aliexa Casi in the 24th minute, but FEU responded with a flurry: Rebosura, her sister Althea, Iries Dela Cruz, and Cristobal sealed the statement win.
FEU head coach Let Dimzon highlighted the importance of the league for talent development:
A lot of football players transition to futsal, and this exposure is important. Even before, when our field was flooded, futsal became our main training. Now, with a national team in place, this league can help players get scouted nationwide. Congratulations to PFF and NCRFA—tournaments like this are what we need.
MEN’S DIVISION

Azkals Development Club (ADC) 6, Enderun 1
The Azkals Development Club opened the Men’s Division with a commanding 6–1 win over Enderun Colleges. Christian Gabriel Vendiola emerged as Player of the Match, signaling a promising season ahead.
ADC playing head coach Stephan Schrock, former captain of the Philippine men’s national football team, shared his motivation:
I’m building the academy and helping at the grassroots. This league is a massive opportunity after a successful [FIFA Futsal Women’s] World Cup. Now that I’m older, I shoulder more responsibility, but I still want to win and set standards. It’s a dream to give back to the community and promote football further.
Tondo FC 14, Sporting QC 2
Tondo FC unleashed the league’s most explosive performance to date, producing 14 goals in their PFF Futsaliga debut. MJ Canicosa stole the show with four goals, leading a relentless Tondo attack that overwhelmed Sporting QC end to end.
Philippine Women’s University (PWU) 5, University of Makati (UMak) 3
PWU outlasted UMak in a dynamic, back-and-forth match. Benrom Yanuaria, with a crucial brace, provided the edge PWU needed to secure full points.
University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P) 3, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Radicals 1
The Radicals struck first, but UA&P responded with poise, scoring three straight goals to close Matchday 2 with a victory. Midfielder Severino de Castro delivered pinpoint assists and clinched Player of the Match.
De Castro emphasized how meaningful the league is for collegiate players:
“This first game was exciting and very professional—something we’re not used to in collegiate leagues. It’s an honor for UA&P to be part of the PFF Futsaliga. Credit to PUP for a great match. We’re excited for what’s ahead for all the teams.”
