ABOUT
The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) is a non-stock and non-profit organization that governs all football activities and endeavors in the Philippines. As a national sports association (NSA) recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee and Philippine Sports Commission, it regulates, manages, develops, and promotes the sport of football in the country, as well as protects the welfare of players, coaches, referees, supporters and all stakeholders of the sport.
38 regional football associations (RFAs) and three professional clubs from the three islands of the Philippines: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, comprise the PFF.
History
Founded in 1907 as the Philippine Amateur Football Association (PAFA), it became an affiliate of the world governing body Federacion Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in 1930.
The Philippines was one of the 12 founding countries of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), which was formed in Manila in 1954.
In 1961, PAFA reorganized into the Philippine Football Association (PFA), and, in 1982, it took on its present name as the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).
