Philippine professional clubs Ceres Negros FC and Kaya FC Iloilo continued their unbeaten run in the AFC Cup this week.
Ceres Negros made it three wins out of three with a tight 1-0 win over Persija Jakarta last Wednesday, 3 April 2019 at the Pana-ad Park and Football Stadium in Bacolod, Negros Occidental. Bienvenido Marañon headed home Martin Steuble’s cross in the 9th minute to put Ceres ahead.
The Negros side remains on top of Group G with 9 points and will face the same opposition on 23 April 2019 at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In the other match, Kaya FC Iloilo maintained their lead at the top of Group H with a last minute equalizer against PSM Makasaar last Tuesday, 2 April 2019 at the Pakansari Stadium in Bogor, Indonesia. Marwin Angeles snatched the late draw with a sublime finish inside the box from a Jovin Bedic free kick.
Kaya, which has 5 points after three matches, will host PSM Makasaar on 17 April 2019 at the Pana-ad Park and Football Stadium.
