Beach Hut girls win big, Nemesis boys save point in PFF Futsaliga U17

Goals flowed freely and late drama thrilled the crowd as Matchday 2 of the PFF Futsaliga Under-17 divisions delivered another exciting day of youth futsal action at the Philsports Arena last Saturday.

Beach Hut produced the most dominant performance of the day in the Girls U17 division, while Nemesis Futbol Academy salvaged a dramatic draw in the Boys U17 competition to close the matchday in memorable fashion.

Girls U17 Division

Beach Hut 15, EMA Bulacan Highlanders 0

Beach Hut set the tone early with a commanding 15–0 victory over EMA Bulacan Highlanders. Filipinas U17 standout Sofhia Muros led the scoring with five goals, while five teammates added two goals each in a complete attacking display. With a remarkable +18 goal difference, Beach Hut surged to the top of the table with six points after two matches.

Beach Hut head coach Joyce Landagan encouraged young players and coaches to embrace futsal development:

Keep playing and listen to the coaches. And for coaches, always stay open to learning. It’s important that we adapt to new trends. Many of us started coaching on the field, but now we must adapt to futsal as well. Being open to learning will help develop communities where futsal is growing.

Silangan FC Cainta 7, Antipolo City FC 0

Silangan FC Cainta bounced back strongly with a 7–0 win over Antipolo City FC to earn their first three points of the season. Jhandie Montevirgen from Valley Golf, Cainta powered the attack with four goals.

PasigLaban 6, Star FC 2

PasigLaban relied on a second-half surge to defeat Star FC, 6–2, marking their second straight win in the competition.

Dhea Nicolly Cebe spearheaded PasigLaban’s counterattacking rhythm, while Aiza Abubakar added a brace to seal the victory.

Nemesis Gaia FA 3, Sporting QC 0

Nemesis Gaia FA maintained their unbeaten run with a 3–0 victory over Sporting QC. A brace from Lara Baltazar proved decisive in securing the win.

Standings update: Beach Hut, PasigLaban, and Nemesis Gaia FA lead the division with six points each, while Silangan FC Cainta and Star FC sit mid-table with three points.

 

Boys U17 Division

EMA Bulacan Highlanders 7, Antipolo City FC 1

EMA Bulacan Highlanders energized the Philsports Arena crowd with a 7–1 victory over Antipolo City FC.

Charlson Vidal delivered a stellar performance with four goals, powering EMA to their second consecutive win.

Manila Futsal Team 3, Sporting QC 1

The Manila Futsal Team secured their first win after edging Sporting QC in a tightly contested match between two major cities.

Walter Osman Francisco broke the 1–1 deadlock in the 32nd minute, while Melvin Carpio added an insurance goal in the final minute to seal the result.

Star FC 2, Paul Stiga Academy 1

Paul Stiga Academy struck early through Prince Yana in the opening minute, but Star FC responded with goals from Franc Mykael Obias (9’) and Mark Filnan Samonte (17’) to claim their second straight win.

Team captain Paul Oliran orchestrated the comeback with two assists, demonstrating leadership and discipline throughout the match. The victory marked Star FC’s first actual match in the competition after receiving a default win on opening day.

Nemesis FA 2, PasigLaban 2

The final match of the day delivered the most dramatic moment as Nemesis Futbol Academy rallied from two goals down to force a 2–2 draw against PasigLaban.

PasigLaban looked headed for victory after first-half goals from Zymon Mirabueno and Raily Zhack Eguillos, but Nemesis fought back late.

Michael Canaman pulled one back in the 29th minute, before Lance Borabo struck the equalizer in the 39th minute to rescue a point.

Canaman credited the team’s preparation and resilience:

What came to my mind was our preparation and the effort we put in. It would have been a waste if we came here just to lose, but our effort paid off and we managed to come back from 2–0. The game had many challenges, but we kept fighting.

Standings update: EMA Bulacan Highlanders and Star FC remain unbeaten with six points each, while Paul Stiga Academy, Manila Futsal Team, and Sporting QC follow closely in the middle of the table with three points each.
