Overview:
Under the direction of the Head of Finance, the job holder is responsible to provide, maintain and enforce a set of standard tools, processes and rules in order to run a coherent and standardised budget management approach across all FWCQ2022 projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse records of present and past operations including similar events, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future expense and revenue. Document revenues and expenditures expected and submit to Head of Finance.
- Co-ordinate the preparation of annual budgets by providing advice and assistance to departments. Advise management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Consolidate inputs received from various departments top prepare overall budget. Interpret budgets for management and assist in preparation of budget presentations for Management. Participate in the process of obtaining timely budget revisions when required, and ensure these are properly reflected in Finance reports.
- Deal with statutory auditors/financial platform auditors and assist with information requirements.
- Undertake the production and distribution of Monthly Cost Reports, following up with departments on information requirements, ensuring the efficient and correct collation and transcribing of data. Prepare various financial reports as required from time to time.
- Coordinates VIK Budget allocations according to what is agreed with FIFA and all involved parties
- Perform specific aspects of the abovementioned responsibilities as detailed out in the Finance Policies and Procedures.
- Performs any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Accounting/Finance degree with CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA
· A minimum experience of 5-8 years within a Finance role
· University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education)
· Experience in international sports / event management
· Knowledge of even planning and event project management processes
· Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
· Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
· Excellence in financial management and governance
· Fluency in English and other languages are an added benefit
· Team Player, willing to work to tight timelines
· Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
· Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events.
