National team standout Alex Carpio waxed hot as Kaya FC-Iloilo collected it 15th point in the 2026 PFF Women’s League (PWL), trouncing Far Eastern University (FEU), 6-1, on Tuesday at the Adidas Football Park, Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.
Carpio hauled four goals in an all around performance.
Her first goal came in the 39th minute off a left corner set piece; the second coming from outside the box against two defenders to end the first half; the third in the 59th minute from Jay Tolentino’s right cross; and the fourth with another long shot in the 73rd minute to make it 6-0.
“I’m very blessed, again, to be called the Woman of the Match. Pero I don’t think I would be able to capitalize on yung opportunities if the team wasn’t following the game plan and doing what needed to be done and knowing the rules. So talagang team effort,” Carpio, who earned her fourth straight best player plum, said.
With the double brace, Carpio has scored six this season and just a goal behind scoring leader and teammate Inday Tolentin, who scored the opener and his seventh season goal in the 11th minute off a left cross from Camille Rodriguez.

Another Golden Boot candidate, Jay Tolentino, scored Kaya’s fourth goal in the 69th with a runner in front off Tolentin’s midfield interception of FEU’s substitute goalkeeper Blaine Barredo’s goal kick, with Maye Mendaño issuing the assist from the center.
The Lady Tamaraws scored a consolation goal in the final minute of the gate, with Judie Arevalo beating the clearance of Kaya goalkeeper Kimberly Pariña.
Meanwhile, the second game between De La Salle University and Far Eastern University got canceled due to inclement weather in Pasay City.
PFF will announce the re-scheduling of said game via the PFF Women’s League Facebook account.
