Overview:
The Head of Security has the overall responsibility for the successful implementation of FIFA’s Security strategic concepts for FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 based on new trends, tools and expectations. Working in close collaboration with all relevant departments and divisions within FIFA. This includes ensuring that the appropriate conditions are provided for relevant FIFA stakeholders, stadium/venue owners, host associations, local authorities and third-party entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Head of Security will continuously review and make recommendations to improve the requirements and will oversee and integrate the security strategy Plans in order to ensure the requirements of all relevant stakeholders are aligned.
- The Head of Security is the key point of reference for the Chief Operations Officer on all Security matters and shall actively represent him on different occasions.
- Head of Security collaborates with internal and external partners, sharing responsibility with the other divisions to optimise the overall result and proactively find compromises, efficiency measures and synergies with other departments/divisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum experience of 8 years in Security and Safety
- University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education)
- Experience in international sports / event management
- Knowledge of even planning and event project management processes
- Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
- Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English and other languages are an added benefit
- Team Player, willing to work to tight timelines
- Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events.
- Minimum of 6 years managing teams within the Security environment
- Proven management experience of complex projects
- Specialised qualifications within Security industry
