Philippine football recorded a banner year in 2025, highlighted by historic hosting duties, breakthrough international results, and continued progress across men’s, women’s, and youth programs, according to the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).

The country made history by hosting the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup at the PhilSports Arena, the first FIFA World Cup ever staged in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, with support from the Philippine Sports Commission. The milestone coincided with strong competitive performances that underscored the sport’s growth nationwide.
