Kaya FC-Iloilo are undefeated with a 3-0 win against State U while Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws are on a three-game win streak with a 2-1 victory against De La Salle University as the two triumphant squads firmed their hold of the two spots at the start of the 2026 PFF Women’s League (PWL) at the Adidas Football Park on the SM Mall of Asia rooftop in Pasay City on Saturday.
Iries dela Cruz opened FEU’s account in the 39th minute, being released past La Salle’s back line into the final third by team captain Sarahgen Tulabing, goaling on the second ball after Jessica Pido’s initial save.
Kyza Colina doubled for FEU and for her season goal tally in the 57th minute, shooting in front of goal off Judie Arevalo’s right sided through pass of Tulabing’s midfield lob.
La Salle’s Ushin Valencia sparked hope for La Salle five minutes later, lobbing a free kick from far left that was not handled well by Tamaraw goalkeeper Jessa Lehayan.
“Nag-adjust po kami sa kung paano kami mag-move,” said Woman of the Match Tulabing, emphasizing hard work as key to their win streak. “Trabaho lang po talaga. Tapos hindi lang po kami magpapakampante.”
The Lady Tamaraws are now steady at second place with nine points, six more than third place La Salle.
Kaya, meanwhile, banked on a strong start against winless University of the Philippines (UP) to keep their record spotless.
Japanese center back Saki Yoshida scored her maiden PWL goal with a header from point blank range off Maye Mendaño’s left corner kick in the 19th minute, followed ten minutes later by Inday Tolentin’s goal off a high press interception of UP’s Kylle Moreno.
Tolentin then opened the second half on fire, sliding for a strike in front of goal off a nifty left-sided through ball by Alex Carpio for her brace and her sixth goal of the season.
“[I’m] proud na today naka-shutout finally kami. So, [I’m] just proud of the team,” said Carpio, awarded Woman of the Match for a third straight week, referring to Kaya’s three conceded goals in their first three wins.
With this, the AFC Women’s Champion’s League-bound squad notched their 12th point coming into Tuesday’s heavyweight match against FEU at 4 PM, while the bottom teams La Salle and UP will tussle at the 7 PM nightcap.
