PFF Completes Classroom Construction for Typhoon Pablo Victims

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) has completed the construction of 4 new school buildings that will be donated to the victims of Typhoon Bopha (or Pablo) in Compostela Valley, Mindanao.

Coursed through the Department of Education’s Adopt-A-School Program, the following schools will have additional classrooms:

  1. —Laak Central Elementary School, Municipality of Laak
  2. —Mayobi Elementary School, Municipality of Montevista
  3. —Banglasan Elementary School, Municipality of Montevista
  4. —Kapatagan (formerly Kidawa) Elementary School, Municipality of Laak

All schools will have a 2-classroom school building except for Banglasan which has 1 classroom school building. The 2-classroom school building costs P1,200,000 while the 1-classroom costs P600,000.

These school buildings were constructed under DepEd’s  “Adopt-a-School Program” by the Philippine Football Federation using the funds donated by  the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) under the leadership of His Royal Highness Sultan Ahmad Shah, AFF President,  and the Football Associations of Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, Vietnam, and Australia.

The PFF has yet to officially turn-over the school buildings to the Department of Education in January 2014.
