The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) donated four football goals to the Manila Boys’ Town Complex in Parang, Marikina City, underscoring its commitment to making Philippine football inclusive for indigent children.
The donation is part of Laro’t Saya sa Manila Boys’ Town, a pilot community-based sports program of the City of Manila and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) last September 28.

PFF joined fellow national sports associations (NSA) Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, Philippine Amateur Baseball Association, Philippine Badminton Association, Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines, and Philippine National Volleyball Federation in the program. PSC also donated footballs for the facility.
PFF President John Anthony Gutierrez expressed his gratitude to the program’s partners.
“On behalf of PFF, I thank the Philippine Sports Commission and Chairman Pato Gregorio for their continued support for Philippine football, not only for our national teams, but also in helping grow the grassroots, reaching out to indigent communities, and providing the platforms and facilities needed to grow the beautiful game,” Gutierrez said.
“We also thank the City of Manila, Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, and Mayor Isko Moreno for their initiative in involving Manila’s youth in sports. Every child deserves a place to play, and we are honored to be part of giving these young people that chance,” he added.

Known as Bahay Sandigan, the complex is operated by the City of Manila through the Manila Department of Social Welfare and is home to more than 1,100 residents. The program offers structured sports activities, mentorship, and values formation to keep vulnerable children engaged in positive, development-oriented pursuits. Each participating sport will assign two qualified coaches to hold training sessions every Thursday and Friday from 3 PM to 5 PM.
PSC has also opened discussions on rehabilitating the complex’s swimming pool and upgrading its football field.
