Philippines Boys Under-16 to Participate in JENESYS 2017 U16 Tournament

The Philippine Boys Under-16 national team will participate in the JENESYS 2017 Japan-ASEAN U-16 Football Tournament which will be held from 8-12 March 2018 at the Miyazaki Prefectural Comprehensive Sports Park in Miyazaki, Japan.

The tournament is composed of ten ASEAN countries and domestic Japanese teams including the Japan Boys Under-15 National Team. The Philippines U16 team is in Group B with Indonesia and Cambodia.

The team is composed mostly of the players that participated in the AFC Under-16 Championship 2018 Qualifiers that was held in Yangon, Myanmar last September 2017.

The head coach is Roxy Dorlas assisted by Christian Salanguit, Christopher Pedimonte, Ralph Datoy, and Joshua Castelo.

“We wish the Philippine Boys Under-16 team the best of luck as they participate in the tournament,” said PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes.

The Philippine Under-16 Team left for Japan today 5 March 2018 in preparation for the tournament.
