Stallion dominates Strykers in WACL

Coming from a 6-1 opener against Khovd of Mongolia, Stallion Laguna FC of the PFF Women’s League notched another dominant win in matchday two of the 2025-26 AFC Women’s Asian Champions League (WACL) preliminary stage with a 13-0 rout of Strykers FC of Guam on Thursday in Yangon.

Team captain and Philippine women’s national team (PWNT) standout Chandler McDaniel scored three goals in each half for a double hat-trick to lead her team.

Right winger Rhea Chan, also from PWNT, scored a brace together with PWNT pool member Malia Cerdon.

Midfielder Mia Bookhard scored the opening goal in the second minute off an assist by Kirara Ogawa; former Guam national team player Jenna Merrill scored on a set piece header in the 69th minute; and PWNT/women’s futsal national team member Bhebhe Lemoran scored from outside in the 89th minute to cap an excellent game where she issued three assists.

“The team had a goal to hit–13 goals–and I’m glad we hit it,” McDaniel, who has nine goals in two games, said. “So very proud of the team and it was a really good effort on the whole team and the whole staff.”

Stallion will vie for the direct ticket to the WACL Group Stage on Sunday’s finale against ISPE of Myanmar.
