Overview:
Acting as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, managing and delivering optimal venue requirements and operation in a cost-effective and timely manner
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the smooth running of each venue through coordination with host cities, public authorities, public transportation, police, emergency services and stadia management
- Recruitment, training and management of the local Venue Teams
- Implementing and managing a centralised Venue Management programme, including all documentation, processes and tools required
- Ensuring the implementation of an integrated and state-of-the-art Access and Accreditation Management system, focusing on an innovative and simplified process
Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum experience of 5-8 years in a sport and/or event organisation, preferably a world-class sports event
- University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education)
- Experience in international sports / event management
- Knowledge of even planning and event project management processes
- Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
- Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English and other languages are an added benefit
- Team Player, willing to work to tight timelines
- Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events.
