Women’s futsal celebrated nationwide with Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta

“The FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup legacy belongs to every Filipina futsal player across the country. Through the Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta, we are bringing the celebration of the event to every Regional Football Association, and winners get to go and watch their national team play in the World Cup.” – PFF President John Anthony Gutierrez

The Philippine Football Federation (PFF), in partnership with the FIFA Women’s Football Development Program and the Office of Philippine Sports Commissioner Olivia “Bong” Coo, has officially launched the Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta, a nationwide celebration of futsal designed to recognize, empower, and inspire Filipino women and girls in the sport.

A flagship initiative of PFF’s FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 Legacy Program and FIFA Women’s Football Development Program, the Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta aims to popularize futsal at the grassroots level and highlight the growing achievements of Filipino women in the sport.

“The Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta embodies our vision of inclusion, empowerment, and excellence,” said PFF President John Anthony Gutierrez. “It’s a celebration of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go when we give Filipinas the platform to shine.”

The festival kicked off on November 7, 2025, in various Regional Football Associations (RFA) and will be held throughout November.

In all, the Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta will roll out across the country through 29 Regional Football Associations (RFAs). Around 2,000 girls are expected to participate in the series of futsal tournaments and activities. Members of the winning teams will be flown in to Pasig and given free passes to the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup.

Here are the winners of the Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta as of November 18, 2025:

Through this Filipina5 Futsal Fiesta, PFF and its regional partners will organize engaging futsal tournaments and community activations that serve as both competitive platforms and festive gatherings. These events are designed to connect the excitement of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 — the first FIFA event ever hosted by the Philippines — with the dreams of aspiring young players across the nation.

The festival also seeks to enhance the overall experience of players and spectators, foster local partnerships, and elevate visibility for women’s futsal.

“This is the heartbeat of our World Cup legacy,” Gutierrez emphasized. “We want every young Filipina to see herself in the game— confident, competitive, and proud to represent our colors.”
