Overview:
- Strategic planning for the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 LOC including definition of overall vision and client experience in alignment with FIFA.
- Programme and project management support for all FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 LOC functions.
- Design and management ofFIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 LOC governance.
- Internal and cross-partner integration forums and supporting stakeholder engagement.
- Strategic and operational risk management.
- Cross functional projects to develop operational plans.
- FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 LOC wide operational readiness activities, including testing and exercising.
- Design and manage an effective mechanism for communication, decision making, information flows and the resolution of issues during planning and tournament operations, including design and delivery of the Tournament Operations Support Centre, and enable integration with external delivery partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Play a key role in the recruitment and training of a suitably qualified and experienced Planning and Integration team.
- Motivate, develop and support staff according to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC workforce strategy, policies and procedures.
- Effectively manage the Planning and Integration team in order to deliver:
- Project Management:
- Custodian of the processes and standards for project management within FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC. Provides the structure and rigor required by functional and venue teams to project manage their activities through the planning, readiness, operational and closure phases.
- Operational Readiness:
- Provides opportunities to validate operating plans and overall capability across FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC and partners, through exercises, readiness events and rehearsals. In alignment with FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC’s planning cycles, work with operational teams and delivery partners to organise a series of exercises of increasing complexity aimed at confirming how infrastructure, technology, process and people come together to deliver effective FWC operations.
- Integrated planning:
- Sets the path forward and coordinates the development of operating plans. The path forward outlines the high level planning process for FWC operations and will support agreement on FWC operations scope through definition of priorities for each client group and coordinate functions and venue teams in the iterative production of function and venue operating plans, policies & procedures and contingency plans.
- Project Management:
- C4:
- Designs, trains and implements a Concept of Operations which will facilitate effective communication, decision making, information flows and the resolution of issues at operations time. C4 will also lead on the Games wide management systems and tools to support the C4 architecture, design and deliver the Tournament Operations Centre, and enable integration with external delivery partners and stakeholders.
- Integrate with other function staff to foster collaborative working across the organisation.
- Provide periodic updates to the Deputy CEO and senior leadership on progress and issues as required.
- Remain flexible in order to support other FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC projects, in addition to those outlined above.
- Lead the on-going review of the Planning and Integration budget, identifying possible operational and financial efficiencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Major events experience:
- A strong working knowledge of major event management.
- Good functional knowledge across event operational functions as well as dependencies with the venues and infrastructure programme.
- Previous experience in a central planning role from more than one major event.
- Operational planning role:
- Experience of stakeholder management, including analytical and people skills and integrating a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience developing, communicating and implementing actionable, succinct operating plans.
- Ability to identify key operational decisions that need to be made, design improved policies and plans and identify dependencies and constraints that impact on-going decision making.
- Experience of implementing a strategic plan; aligning operational plans at all levels within a governance framework and in an integrated manner.
- Experience of developing strategic contingency plans.
- Builds co-operative and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicates regularly with key individuals to ensure continuity of information.
- Project management
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and under pressure.
- Uses judgement to assess levels of risk and ability to implement mitigation measures
- Team management
- Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and cooperatively within a team situation.
- Previous experience of working in different cultures and managing a diverse team.
