Maps & Drawing Manager

Overview:

Responsible for centralising, coordinating and standardising of all maps and plans required throughout the FWC programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the production of all technical plans required for sites such as stadiums, training sites, draw venues, HQs, Hotels, IBC, etc. but also all of the graphical maps.
  • Supports the preparation of site visits and inspections ensuring all drawings and plans are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with FIFA requirements.
  • Ensures close cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy to align drawing production standards and processes.
  • Provides assurance to TOP, LOC and FIFA for compliance with maps and plans requirements/standards.
  • Supports the Venue Readiness team to ensure that all FIFA competition and operation requirements are met in the planning and design phases of the venues.
  • Facilitates the venue planning process should collect, file and review the existing (as-built) drawings for all venues and precincts
  • Coordinates and liaise with all FAs to capture their requirements.
  • Ensure that maps and plans meet the requirements to obtain the relevant authority approvals
  • Ensures the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
    • to a high standard of quality and timeliness
    • in  full compliance with the SC Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
    • in line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system
  • Prepares vision and strategy on how best to facilitate the use of the ‘as built’ BIM models and using mobile applications to review plans, audit and capture comments/changes.Assures integration between different types of data that comprises Maps and plans deliverables
  • Prepares scoping documentation to engage CADD, BIM and other technical services required to deliver the strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum experience of 5-8 years in design and delivery of sport venues and stadiums.
  • University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education)
  • Experience in international sports / event management
  • Knowledge of even planning and event project management processes
  • Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
  • Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • Fluency in English and other languages are an added benefit
  • Team Player, willing to work to tight timelines
  • Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events.
