Overview:
The job holder is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate financial systems, records and procedures. This in compliance with local and international regulations and in close cooperation with all projects and the FIFA Financial Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that records and systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted international accounting standards and Qatar laws. Follow up on the agreed management accounting structure
- Oversee the implementation of the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 LOC Financial policies and ensure that regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met for the organisations financial affairs
- Cash Flow Management and secure funding
- Provides FIFA + senior management budget reporting
- Oversea relationship between Finance Division and internal / external auditors / State Audit Bureau if required, ensure all required data and documentation is provided and ensure compliance to timelines and policies
- Report monthly on budget position and make recommendations for budget efficiencies
- Preparation of year-end financial statements and reports to FFWWC 2025 LOC senior management
- Implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor the performance of the FFWWC 2025 LOC, its flow of funds, adherence to budget, expenditure, income and other budgetary items
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum finance experience of 5-8 years
- University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education)
- Experience in international sports / event management
- Knowledge of even planning and event project management processes
- Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
- Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English and other languages are an added benefit
- Team Player, willing to work to tight timelines
- Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events.
