Overview:
Ensures the most favourable conditions for the successful establishment & implementation of the Logistics project within the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 LOC. Conceptualisation and central planning of the Logistics project; define deliverables, budget and milestones as part of the Master Project Management Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management, coordination and driving force for all activities within Event Logistics sub-projects such as:
- Customs & freight forwarding, including communication of customs procedures to all concerned
- Central warehousing
- Purchasing
- Domestic Distribution & Venue Logistics at tournaments and events
- Support Team Services project with Team Logistics during tournaments
- Identify IT solutions to support delivery of logistics and asset management
- Reporting of own requirements for staff and budget and integration in the central staff and budget plan
- Establish consolidated reports on Event Logistics to allow effective monitoring by top-management
- Anticipate internal recruitment needs, clarify the job profiles, find – supported by Workforce Management team – within given budget qualified candidates
- Lead the implementation of all local related event-logistics processes within the respective host-countries for tournaments and corporate events
- Lead the Event Logistics team, split tasks, delegate accordingly but keep overview and ability to anticipate change
- Lead in final reconciliation/transfer of knowledge post-tournaments and events
- Assess event-logistics needs within the organization, including the need for workshops, logistics activities, and implement event-logistics programme accordingly
- Develops and coordinates cross-functional and cross-border initiatives in order to reach common goals
- Planning & coordination of event-logistics needs of FWC, respecting FIFA’s service levels, in co-operation with FIFA’s internal service units and external service providers
- Liaises efficiently with FIFA relevant departments to ensure consistency in applicable & common event-logistics matters
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum experience of 8 years in Event Logistics
- University degree in appropriate subject (or adequate training/vocational education)
- Experience in international sports / event management
- Knowledge of even planning and event project management processes
- Experience or knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
- Strong IT skill including MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in English and other languages are an added benefit
- Team Player, willing to work to tight timelines
- Positive attitude, patience and persistence.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, preferably international sports events.
- Minimum of 6 years managing teams within the Event Logistics
- Proven management experience of complex projects
- Specialised qualifications within Event Logistics
