The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) today appointed former Bundesliga player and US World Cup 1998 Team Captain Thomas Dooley as head coach of the Men’s National Team.
Dooley’s coaching engagement is for one year.
He is expected to immediately sit down with team management led by Team Manager Dan Palami and buckle down to prepare the national team for the AFC Challenge Cup Maldives finals in May 2014, and upcoming friendlies in March 2014.
“With his excellent credentials and passion to win, we are confident that he will rise to the challenge and do what is best for the team. He has our full support.” said PFF President Mariano Araneta.
Coach Thomas Dooley will be presented to the public and football stakeholders in a press conference today, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 am at the PFF House of Football in Pasig City.
