FIFA President Josef Blatter today spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony of the FIFA Goal Project III at the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park in Carmona, Cavite. He was joined by AFC President Salman Al Khalifa, PFF President Mariano Araneta, Manila Jockey Club Chairman Mr. Alfonso Reyno, Jr., FIFA General Secretary Jerome Valcke, AFC General Secretary Dato Alex Soosay.
The FIFA Goal Project III is envisioned to be the nucleus of a national training center in the Philippines. It answers the need for a central and dedicated training pitch and facility for all the National and Representative Teams. A 105 x 68 meter artificial turf field will be constructed a two-hectare land within the San Lazaro Leisure and Business Park.
