The Philippine U14 Girls Team ended their bid for this year’s AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship for the ASEAN as they drew Malaysia 2-2 in their 3rd and final match in the group stage yesterday in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Catherine Pardilla opened the scoreline on the 16th minute but was swiftly responded to by an equaliser from Malaysia’s Anis Aishah Asiati Raili two minutes after. The Malaysians scored another goal on the 35th minute courtesy of Nor Athirah Mamat (35’) but also conceded an own goal on the 72nd minute.
While the Philippines and Malaysia are tied on points in the Group Standings with 1 draw and 1 win each, the Philippines has a -1 goal difference compared to Malaysia’s 0. This brings Malaysia to the Semi-Finals against Thailand to the semi-finals.
