The Philippine Men’s National Team climbed to 124th place in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking– the highest it has reached thus far.
Previously at 137th before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia (TM) – Asian Qualifiers / AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 (TM) Qualifiers (Round 2), the team earned 13 places up after winning against Bahrain (2-1) on June 11 and Yemen (2-0) on June 16 during its first two matches in group H.
This new rank surpasses the Philippines’ previous record of 127th which was attained in 2013.
