The Philippine Football Federation (PFF) and the entire football family mourn the passing away last 04 August 2015 of Edward “Chaya” Lam, President of Davao Football Association and a stalwart of football promotion in Mindanao.
Mr. Lam died of cancer at the Metro Davao Medical and Research Center in Davao City. He was 57 years old.
PFF President Mariano Araneta expressed his sorrow and stated that “Edward Lam will be remembered for his contributions to football, and for his advocacy to help those underprivileged players who were able to finish college because of his support”.
PFF officials and staff express its condolences to Mr. Lam’s family and loved ones and enjoins the football community to pray for the repose of his soul.
