Stallion FC and Maldives drew their international friendly match held yesterday, August 29, 2015 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium with a score of 2-2.
Maldives’ midfielder Mohamed Umair scored the opening goal on the 34th minute while Stallion FC’s Ruben Doctora delivered the equalizer on the 51st minute. Minutes after, Jordan Mintah scored Stallion’s 2nd goal. Their lead was however cut by Maldives’ Ahmed Imaaz on the 74th minute which ended the match in a 2-2 draw.
Both Stallion FC and Maldives coaches expressed their satisfaction in the way their respective teams played. Maldives is set to play against the Azkals on 3 September at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in preparation for both teams’ upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Match on 8 September where the Philippines will be facing Uzbekistan, and Maldives to play against China PR.
