The Central Luzon Football Association (CLFA) held a Grassroots Course and Festival (GCF) last April 18-20, 2016 in Mangatarem 1 Central School, Pangasinan.
Spearheaded by Grassroots Development officer Mr. Rodel Quiambao, the GCF was attended by 40 teacher coaches and volunteers who were introduced to coaching theories and practical sessions on the first two days while 250 kids participated in the Football Festival on the last day of the 3 day activity. Lily Fiesta of North Central Luzon Football Club assisted in the event.
The Grassroots Course and Festivals is part of the PFF-PAGCOR KASIBULAN Grassroots Football Development Program organized by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) with support from Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR). This program is done nationwide through the 40 provincial football associations.
A GCF is a 3 day activity where, ideally, 60 teachers coaches and volunteers are trained in both theory and practical sessions on the first two days and concluded by a football festival for 500 kids on the last day. This is a venue for kids to have the opportunity to play and have fun playing football while meeting new friends.
