The U16 Boys National Team are now in Pnom Penh, Cambodia to compete in the AFF U16 Championship 2016. Matches are held at the Army Stadium and Olympic Stadium from 10-23 July 2016.
The Philippines is in Group A along with Myanmar, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Group B is composed of Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Timor Leste, and Brunei Darussalam. After the group stage, two teams per group will qualify into the knockout phase.

The team is a product of a nationwide tryouts conducted in May and a training camp held in UP Los Banos and Benguet State University last June 2016.
The coaching staff is headed by Jose Maria Aberasturi, assisted by Eliezer Fabroada, Marlon Pinero, and Anthony Albao. The team is managed by Alvin Carranza.
