The Philippine Men’s National Team banked on Phil Younghusband’s free kick to draw Indonesia, 2-2, last night at the Philippine Sports Stadium.
The Azkals, who drew Singapore in the opening match last Saturday, went behind off a Fachruddin Aryanto header in the seventh minute. Misagh Bahadoran answered back in the 31st minute with a strike off Stephan Schrock’s free kick.
Boas Solozza made it 2-1 again for Indonesia in the 68th minute. Younghusband forced the draw with a well taken free kick in the 82nd minute.
Coach Thomas Dooley said after the match: “It was an exciting game. Overall I think 2-2 is okay.”
The Philippines face Thailand in the final group game on Friday, November 25 at the Philippine Sports Stadium.
