The Philippines Girls Under-16 National Team will face Myanmar, Malaysia, host Nepal, and Syria in Group E for the the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers Round 1 this coming 15 to 23 September.
The Philippines is one of the 30 participating teams in the qualifiers that will vie for a spot to the final round next year through 2 qualifying rounds.
The winners of each group, along with the two best second-placed teams, will advance to the second round of the qualifiers which will be held from 23 February to 3 March 2019.

The team previously participated in the AFF U16 Girls’ Championship in Palembang, Indonesia where they finished the group stage in 4th place.
The coaching staff will be headed by Ms. Joyce Landagan, who steered the team to a silver medal finish in the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championships in 2016.
