The Philippine Men’s Under-19 Team endured a heartbreaking 4-1 loss to Indonesia in the AFF U19 Championship last Thursday 5 July 2018 at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Surabaya, Indonesia.
Far Eastern University standout Gio Pabualan scored from the free kick in the 33rd minute to put the Philippines ahead.
The Philippines put up a resolute defense for the rest of the match, but Indonesia found the breakthrough in the last 10 minutes, scoring in the 82nd, 83rd, 86th, and 90th minutes.
The Philippines remained in 4th place with 3 points after 3 matches.
Reiji Hirata’s squad will next face Thailand on Saturday 7 July 2018 and Laos on Monday 9 July 2018.
