The Philippine Men’s National Team secured the top spot in Group B after a tight 1-0 win over host Bangladesh last Friday 5 October 2018 at the Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Kenshiro Daniels’ 23rd minute strike sealed the match sending the Philippines through to the semifinals on top of their group with 2 wins.
Louie Casas also earned the man of the match plum for his resilience in the win. The Global Cebu FC stopper denied Bangladesh’s numerous chances on goal to claim a clean sheet.
Andres Gonzales’ squad will await the winner of the Nepal-Palestine match to determine which team the Philippines will face in the semifinals on 9-10 October 2018 at the Cox’s Bazar Stadium.
