De La Salle University and Tuloy FC won their respective fixtures in the PFF Women’s League last November 3 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite
The defending champions finally went up to first place after dispatching UP, 3-1 in the first match to remain unbeaten in the season, getting their seventh win in eight matches to overtake idle UST.
Rocelle Mendaño scored in either half to register a brace, the first one came from the penalty spot in the 17th minute.
Andrea Montilla equalized for UP in the 38th minute to go 1-1 at the break.
Mendaño then put La Salle ahead in the 67th minute with a free kick from just outside the box that went past UP goalkeeper Natasha Estrada.
Carmen Castellanos secured La Salle’s win five minutes before time after scoring on an empty net situation.
In the other match, Tuloy FC got a 3-0 win by forfeiture against Green Archers United FC.
