The Philippine Football Federation (PFF), its officials and staff, join the Philippine football community in mourning the loss of AFAP Administrator, Ms. Ma. Cristina “Nina” Ahorro, who passed away Tuesday, 04 August 2020.
A long-serving employee of PFF for over 20 years, Ms. Ahorro had been facilitating the Youth and Women’s National Team preparations and other PFF development projects under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Financial Assistance Programme (AFAP).
“Philippine football lost an esteemed friend in Nina Ahorro,” said PFF president Mariano Araneta, Jr. “Words cannot describe the feeling of losing a respected colleague and stakeholder. We will miss her dearly.”
“Nina will always be remembered for her kindness, particularly to the Youth and Women’s National Teams that she has been administering through the years,” added PFF general secretary Atty. Edwin Gastanes. “She had lived a memorable life devoted to the growth of Philippine football. May she rest in peace.”
The PFF extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Ahorro and requests the football community to pray for the eternal repose of her soul.
