The race for First Division promotion saw three teams from Luzon in United City FC, Ilocos Sur FA, and Stallion Laguna FC all sealing their places in the PFF U19 Boys National Championship 2022 – Second Division National Group Stage following the conclusion of the Regional Groups A, B, and C last Saturday, 11 June 2022.

United City FC claimed the top spot in Group A after an unbeaten run in the Regional Group Stages held at the Tarlac Recreational Park in San Jose, Tarlac. UCFC collected wins over Palawan FA, 2-0, Olongapo-Zambales City FA, 3-0, and Central Luzon FA, 1-0.
Central Luzon FA finished in second place with four points, only ahead of Olongapo City-Zambales FA on goal difference, while Palawan FA is at the bottom with zero points.

Ilocos Sur are the second team to advance to the National Group Stage after lording the three-team Group B with a total of 17 goals at the Qurino Stadium in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.
The Ilocos Sur side hammered Pangasinan FA, 13-0, in their first outing followed by a 4-1 win over rivals Ilocos Sur last Saturday. Ilocos Norte finished second with one win, while Pangasinan FA are in third.

Over in Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan, Laguna. Stallion Laguna FC asserted their stake with an unbeaten slate to win Group C.
The Laguna side bested Cavite FA (3-0), FA of Rizal (7-1), and Quezon-Batangas RFA (3-0) for an unbeaten record in their Group with nine points followed by Cavite FA with six points, and FA of Rizal and Quezon-Batangas RFA with one point apiece.
The PFF U19 Boys National Championship 2022 – Second Division continues this month with Group D scheduled for 15-19 June 2022 followed by Groups E and F from 18-22 June 2022, Group G from 24-28 June 2022, and Group H from 22-30 June 2022.
