Sarina Bolden netted two goals as the Philippine Women’s National Team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3-0, in their friendly match last Thursday 23 June 2022 at the Matija Gubec Stadium in Krsko, Slovenia.
The forward found the back of the net in the 39th and 82nd minutes as the Filipinas continued their preparations for the AFF Women’s Championship 2022 which will be held in Manila from 04-17 July 2022.
Tara Shelton, who started the match, fired from just outside the box to put the Philippines ahead in the opening seven minutes of the match. The defender found enough composure to send the ball in to the top corner after a failed clearance from the Bosnia and Herzegovina defense.
Bolden made it 2-0 with six minutes left in the half. Hali Long launched a long ball towards the Bosnian box and found Katrina Guillou, who flicked it into the path of Bolden, who was onside to convert from close range.
The forward netted her second in the final ten minutes of the match. Off the pass from the debuting Sara Eggesvik, Bolden made run to the box then rifled in a left footed shot towards the near post to complete the scoreline.
The Philippines take on the same opposition again on Sunday, 26 June 2022 before flying back to Manila for the AFF Women’s Championship
