Defending champion Vietnam and Myanmar clash for top spot at the close of Group B action of the AFF Women’s Championship 2022 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Both spotless with 3-0 win-loss records, the Vietnamese tangle with the Burmese at 7 p.m. to decide their places and rivals in the crossover semifinals on Friday of the 11-nation competition.
With its 6-0 beating of Timor Leste two days ago, Vietnam snatched first place in the five-team group with a plus-14 goal difference, relegating Burma, which beat Laos 3-1 in the other group match also last Monday, to second place (plus-12).
Based on the competition format, Thailand, as Group A winners will play the runner-up in Group B and the Group A winners will face the Philippines on Friday.
Over at the Imus Stadium in Cavite, eliminated sides Cambodia and Timor Leste face each other in the other group match also at 7 p.m.
