The University of the Philippines and Far Eastern University kicked off the proceedings by producing a win each in the opening day of the PFF Women’s Cup 2022 last Saturday 05 November 2022 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
UP saw four players bag a brace in their 8-0 rout of Azzurri FC in the first match.
Alyssa Ube, (17’, 31’), Kamea Mangrobang (23’, 49’), Andrea Montilla (24’, 43’), and Aurea Reaso (81’, 86’) all found the back of the net for the Maroon side to claim their first three points.
The second match saw Far Eastern University spoil Kaya FC-Iloilo’s debut with a 2-0 win.
Sandy Matunding found the opening goal in the eight minute as FEU denied Kaya’s chances on goal before Marinell Cristobal doubled the lead with nine minutes left in the match.
