Far Eastern University fired six unanswered goals against Stallion Laguna FC to go up to the top of the table in the PFF Women’s Cup last Sunday at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
Substitute Regine Rebosura scored a brace in the 63rd and 76th minutes while Elna Bongol (12’), Millet Tuliao (20’), Jonela Miravite (45’), and current top scorer Dionesa Tolentin (90’) added gloss to FEU’s scoreline.
Sunday’s first match saw both University of Santo Tomas and Azzurri SC claim their first point in a highly contested 3-3 draw.
Azzurri’s Regina Aliping broke the deadlock in the 11th minute and was equalized by UST’s Cindy Bennet six minutes later.
Hannah Muros restored Azzurri’s lead in the 35th minute to go to half-time with a 2-1 advantage. UST found themselves back in the thick of things when Christy Logastua made it 2-2 in the 48th minute.
Bianca Sy put UST in the driver’s seat in the 79th minute, but Muros forced another equalizer two minutes from time to share the spoils between the two sides.
