The Philippine Football Federation had three (3) nominated referees that attended the recent AFC Referees Recruitment 2023 held last 16-18 January 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
FIFA Referee Mick Jon Pineda attended the session for Men’s football while FIFA Futsal Referees Jan Dlanor Initan and Fercival Orlanda attended the session for futsal.
The recruitment session aims to expand the talent pool of AFC match officials. The participants were evaluated on their technical capabilities through knowledge of the Laws of the Game, Analysis of match situations, and video tests.
The participants also undergone a fitness test to ensure they are physically fit when officiating in matches.
Following the recruitment session, the referees will also undergo on-site match assessment visits.
