“We saw the JENESYS tournament as a competitive and organized one,” said head coach Jim Ashley Flores. “The tournament allowed the players to fully understand the required protocols set by FIFA and AFC during tournaments.”
Player Jelena Soon cherished the experience with playing against other countries in the tournament.
“It was fun because we had friendly matches with teams,” said soon. Those games were fun because no matter the result what matter is that we enjoyed the games and it allowed us to learn more about football and about their culture.”
The tournament also served as the team’s preparation for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 qualifiers round 1 scheduled next month.
