The Philippine Football Federation joins the football community in offering condolences to the family and friends of the Colegio San Agustin Football Varsity Team player, who passed away last Sunday 26 March 2023 during a football match.
According to school statement, the player, a student-athlete, suddenly collapsed during a varsity game. He was brought to the nearest hospital but unfortunately was not revived.
An inquiry will be undertaken by PFF as a matter of course aimed to help prevent recurrence of such sad event. Indeed, one death in a football-related activity is one too many.
The PFF requests the football community to pray for the eternal repose of the player’s soul and for strength to the bereaved family in their most difficult of times.
