Angelica Teves had a performance to remember, scoring four goals as De La Salle University defeated University of Santo Tomas, 4-1, in the PFF Women’s League last Sunday, 09 July 2023 at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite.
The win puts La Salle in third place with six points, only behind second placed Tuloy FC on goal difference, but it was UST that drew first blood Samantha Asilo found the back of the net in the 27th minute.
Teves then opened her tally in the 31st minute from a one-on-one opportunity to claim the equalizer. The midfielder added a second goal in first half added time from the spot after Alisha Del Campo was brought down inside the box.
Teves completed her hat-trick in the 55th minute off a weighted ball from Rocelle Mendaño, and added a fourth goal in the 76th minute to complete the turnaround.
University of the Philippines and Manila Nomads FC battled to a 1-1 draw in the first match. Joyce Semacio first scored in the 50th minute but was cancelled out by Anya Fuentes in the 65th minute.
