Philippine Football Federation president John Gutierrez welcomed the support from Asian football’s stakeholders whom he met recently during the FIFA Club World Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Having won the PFF presidency by getting 30 out of 36 votes last month, Gutierrez has hit the ground running at the federation, looking for ways to improve current developmental programs.
Just three weeks into his term, Gutierrez has already met with FIFA president Gianni Infantino who assured the PFF of FIFA’s support.
Gutierrez has also drawn the support of Asian Football Confederation president and FIFA senior vice president His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim al Khalifa.
The AFC president congratulated Gutierrez on his election as the new PFF president and has reiterated his support for the development of Philippine football. Gutierrez assured Shaikh Salman of his full support to his administration at AFC.
Gutierrez also held discussions with Saudi Arabia Football Federation president and FIFA Council Member Yasser Al Misehal as both presidents explored how they can further collaborate on football development.
Al Misehal also wished the PFF future success in the international stage.
